Googles getting sued by Viacom for copyright infringement on a “huge scale”. Some one can’t control the web but yet they try so hard. I’m really not sure exactly why this came about, but I think it’s because of the ads, commercials. Companies are looking at the web as free advertising and the 60 year old business of TV ads is lessing. The guest speaker Matt Smith from Tribal DDB is an ad man for the modern times developing internet ads. Matt ran through a couple of his campaigns, short films, interactive sites and limited time fan based sites. So as the Phillips man razor that was a short film that told the story of male hair removal, and the 31 day challenge for a new slurpy. His thought that the consumer now plays a huge part in web and needs to be satisfied. The interactive consumer will hurt traditional advertising, but so is every other convenience thats coming out today, Tivo. Some one needs to smack these fat rich men up side the head to let them see the new market and the changing future.
