The End is Near
Now the end is near. After all my tangents relating to school everything is coming together. I’ve suffered through a million ideas for everything and am now tying everything together. But now passed the idea stage and on to the production stage and the frustration caused by idea after idea I can see that the hardship was to see the endless possibilities and to keep your mind open to the possibilities. I feel confident that i explored and teased many possibles solutions to my problems and chose a good solution. I can’t say the best because there can always be a better solutions, but my problems are solved confidently.

Coffee talk
I find myself discussing politics allot lately and other social issues. One of those issues that is bugging me and confusing is all the commercials that are out for student loans. Is tuition rising that much everywhere? How bad will everything be 5 years down the road, is college going to be for the elite? I can’t rap my head around the fact that education cost so much these days and there are so many rules involved. You’d think that the government would want educated smart people in it’s country to further it. But capitalism drives everything and moneys always been for the elite. Maybe the separation of education, wealth, and uneducated and poor will become more prevalent and a class war will erupt,” the angry punk rocker within”

Some one told me that this wasn’t funny. Granted I think Dave did it first or the idea of it, but every things been done before. So can you do it better, different, more powerful, ect. I often find myself in this conversation, so I believe in making it yours, putting your story to it and reinventing the same, if every things been done before.

I can’t deal with change
Googles getting sued by Viacom for copyright infringement on a “huge scale”. Some one can’t control the web but yet they try so hard. I’m really not sure exactly why this came about, but I think it’s because of the ads, commercials. Companies are looking at the web as free advertising and the 60 year old business of TV ads is lessing. The guest speaker Matt Smith from Tribal DDB is an ad man for the modern times developing internet ads. Matt ran through a couple of his campaigns, short films, interactive sites and limited time fan based sites. So as the Phillips man razor that was a short film that told the story of male hair removal, and the 31 day challenge for a new slurpy. His thought that the consumer now plays a huge part in web and needs to be satisfied. The interactive consumer will hurt traditional advertising, but so is every other convenience thats coming out today, Tivo. Some one needs to smack these fat rich men up side the head to let them see the new market and the changing future.

I’m boring
I took a personality test in class today, and my result is non. Now it’s tough learning graphic design with no personality. The test had 70 questions in seven rows of 10, vertical, with a and b question. Add up your rows and the bigger number corresponds with a letter. Put your numbers together and read the results. Mine were non.

Good waste of time
Some how I found myself sucked into the Pandora poster competition. There are over 700 entries and they all but about five suck. There’s no concept, poor execution and way to much photoshop. recent headache
Alright I’m seeing how this school works, and it’s giving me headaches. Everyone keeps saying it’s about thought, concept, story, ect… Yes it is. I present my ideas, good or bad, one or two always stand out and I move on them. Present again and more ideas are thrown out, so I move on something else. Present again, more ideas and I move somewhere else. So I keep thinking that I’m just retarded and not getting anything. But when talking to my roommate he describes all this as a battle, you have to stand up for and defend everything and as soon as you win you move to finalize. I really like his description, or take on all this, but for a guy who has troubles explaining himself this seems like a never ending battle. Also thinking in roommate terms I should be damn good at explaining myself by the time I’m finished with this place.
